Dear Friends, Wow! I learned so much on this trip to St. Augustine and had so much fun. Its a town with a lot of history but also is evolving with the times! A diverse collection of visitors was found on the beach, strolling along St George street and in the restaurants. I'll be back! Find out more by watching the full episode of Beyond Your Backyard (season three). Erik |

TRANSPORTATION
Air: I flew into Jacksonville International Airport and rented a car. Drive time was about an hour. Orlando-Sanford is also an option. Drive time from that airport (depending on I-95 traffic) is about 90 minutes. Car: Downtown St. Augustine is walkable, but I suggest renting a car to get to the the beaches and other destinations within the region. Cruise: The closest cruise port is Port Canaveral. It's located about two hours south of St. Augustine. Tampa's cruise port is located about a three hour's drive southwest from At. Augustine. Train: Amtrak does not have a train station with regular service in St. Augustine. |
