Dear Fellow Thrill Seeker,
Wow! Just wow! I believe new Orleans is one of the most sensual cities in the world. I love the energy, the electric vibe, the live music, the food! But you'll be surprised at the green spaces, the architecture, the neighborhood districts and so much more. I love this town for so many reasons and I cannot wait to return. I have visited numerous times over the years both before the hurricane and after. My most recent trip was in 2018 to shoot an episode of "Beyond Your Backyard" for PBS. The video series from the archives (below) was shot about a month after the hurricane Katrina. Sincerely, Erik |

Air: Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY)

THE WEATHER
Spring is the most popular time to visit New Orleans. The weather is pleasant, and the many special events make the city a fun place to vacation. Mardi Gras season runs January through March. People line the streets to see the elaborate floats and try to catch beads. New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival is late April and early May. |
